About the Owner

Aloha mai! My name is Deeana Nohealani, the owner and creative behind Bangles by Ku'i, handcrafted on O'ahu, Hawai'i. I am a proud Native Hawaiian entrepreneur, college graduate, female business owner and self taught jeweler. I was raised in ʻEwa Beach but I reside in Waipio now.

The name Ku'i was given to my brother David Ku'i, who passed away in 2017. In 2019, my business was born and I needed a name. I knew I wanted to include my brother somehow so I named my business after him. I truly am so proud to see his name live on through my business, a true ode to him.

Our Story

Typical local girl story, I started finding shells on the beach- which started my love for shells, I was truly enamored by the beauty of them! My love for shells grew into a love for bangles, because I could represent my passion for shells with each bangle. And let's not forget, every local girl loves her Hawaiian Jewelry, including myself! At that time it was an expensive want, so I learned how to make bangles on my own, which birthed my idea for Bangles by Ku'i. I built my small business out of my passion for shells and jewelry.

Our Mission

Bangles By Ku'i was created to bring custom and affordable jewels to every local girls' wrist. To uphold high-quality and high-performing mermaid tested bangles at a great value. We strive to implement Native Hawaiian values and language throughout our brand and to create a sense of ‘ohana with our customers.

I AM SO GRATEFUL I GET TO CONTINUE MY PASSION AND CREATE FOR YOU GUYS BEAUTIFUL, CUSTOM, HANDCRAFTED BANGLES. Mahalo piha, truly from the bottom and fullness of my heart, I am eternally grateful for the love and support!!! - Deeana
